This year, from 29th June to 1st July AVA Clinic’s gynaecologists-reproductologists Violeta Fodina and Jaroslav Lakutin, as well as embriologists Elena Bazarova and Indra Dundure attended 25th Annual ESHRE Congress, what took place in Amsterdam.
ESHRE Congress assembles specialists in th efield of reproduction all over the world. There wer eorganized lectures and workshops in 11 thematic working groups: early pregnancy, andrology, embriology, reproductive surgery, stem cells, quality system and security in the field of reproduction.
Besides the theoretical and practical sessions at ESHRE Congress, there were possibilities to visit exhibition, on which were presented to all interested new production and innovations in the field of reproduction.
At the Congress a lot of time was devoted to the new medicines using in infertility treatment. The first results were presented. The specialists from different countries discussed about the role of LH hormone in the stimulation of ovulation, as well as new protocols of stimulation with lower doses of medicines were submitted for patients’ safety and health.
Also new innovative catheters to facilitate embryo transfer were presented. These catheters are more safety for endometrium of uterus and embryos.
In turn, quality of gametes and embryos , effective selection of embryos to be transferred into the uterine cavity, as well as issues of blastocyst culture and effectiveness of single embryo transfer were empasized in embriological section. A lot of time was devoted to the vitrification as a new method of freezing.
Comparing our results with the results of vitrification, which were presented at ESHRE Congress may affirm that we are on the high European level. It is gratefully that aou specialists may share with their thoughts and researches.
