At 14-16 of May 2009 Ava Clinic doctor Violeta Fodina and embriologist Jelena Bazarova have attended the Third International IVI Congress, what took pace in Madrid.
The congress was devoted to the patients’ treatment with PCO syndrome and to the new technical opportunities of embryo selection. Also there were discussed themes about oocytes, zygota and embryo vitrification.
Vitrification - is a special method of oocyte cryoconservation, what completely excludes the ice crystal formation and reduce to a minimum cells damage.
On the base of presented data, it may draw a conclusion that oocyte vitrification is effective and prospective method of infertility treatment for different groups of patients.
The oocyte vitrification emphasis is theat it gives hope of child birth to the patients who because of the one or another reasons are obliged to put aside thesolving of reproductive problems.
This method is important for the patients, who have had any oncological or other deseases, because of what the reproductive function was interrupted.
Before treating oncology in our Clinics there is a chance to freeze genetic materials: women oocytes and men sperm. Then they could be used for IVF treatment in future.
Started from January 2009 AVA Clinic is actively realize the given method of freezing. It is a new and unique opportunity for oncological patients to look forward.
