On 23rd of January 2009 AVA Clinic Riga in cooperation with well-known company produced commercial media for artificial fertilization «MediCult» was organized scientific seminar devoted to the history of IVM and its practical usage.
IVM — In vitro maturation — is oocyte maturation out of woman’s body.
IVM method is a new and prospective course in women’s and men’s infertility treatment.
IVM programme may be recommended:
- to the patinets with polycystic ovarian syndrome
- to the patients with high risk of development of Ovarian HyperStimulation Syndrome because it allowes to avoid diffent types of complications.
The high performance of this type of treatment is a litte bit less in comparison with ordinary IVF. But after using of IVM method were born thousands of healthy children. This method is constantly improving and in a short time it will become as an usual treatment method on a par with standart IVF.
